It's now live, hunters! Path of Exile 2's first major content update since early access began back in December is here. That means you've got a new league (all of which will be part of the core game), a new Huntress class, copious amounts of balance changes and bug fixes, and tons of new content to explore. Seriously, the patch notes for Dawn of the Hunt require you to just keep scrolling and scrolling.

With new ascendancy classes, over 100 support gems being added, seven new endgame maps, new encounters, more endgame mechanics, and improvements to many of the endgame systems being added, it's understandable why it may take pages and pages to break everything down. This says literally nothing about bug fixes, something that takes up about a third of the notes alone.

You don't have to pay for this additional content. If you already own PoE2's founder's pack, you'll be able to hop in right now. Things just finally made it live a few hours ago. Grinding Gear Games does suggest taking on the F2P ARPG's new update with a new character, but you don't have to do so.

That said, an update this size will obviously come with some issues and the team is already working on a few of those via hotfixes. If you've been crashing while in town, there's actually a few different reasons that's happening. GGG details each reason and their progress on them in the hotfixes post. If you were seeing the US servers as down when logging in, that issue is resolved. Enjoy the hunt, but maybe hit the issues post up before reporting anything, others may have already reported the same issue.
