THE FINALS Season 2 Drops Tomorrow, Featuring New Weapons, A New Map, And A New Game Mode
There's also the League System for ranked play and the Career Circuit for weekly rewards.
Season 2 of THE FINALS arrives tomorrow!
The shooter game show is being infiltrated by the rogue hacking collective CNS, who are sending cryptic messages. This season introduces new weapons for each class, a new map called SYS$HORIZON, a 5v5 game mode named Power Shift, a skill-based League System for ranked play, and weekly career progression with rewards. Also, private matches are now available in a feature-limited beta version.
Players can hack with new gadgets and specializations too. These tools enable them to manipulate the arena environment to their advantage, such as removing walls, defying gravity, and transforming objects. The Dematerializer for Mediums temporarily erases physical surfaces, the Anti-Gravity Cube for Heavys manipulates gravity, and the Gateway for Lights creates deployable portals for quick movement.
As for the new SYS$HORIZON map, this arena is characterized by glitchy neon-filled cityscapes and vertical as well as horizontal gameplay. The Career Circuit system provides weekly rewards for completing contracts, allowing contestants to progress from Rookie to Master.
