The Final Fantasy XIV Moogle Treasure Trove Is Back On December 12
That probably means we can expect the 6.3 update on January 10.
Square Enix’s attempt to lure Final Fantasy XIV players into doing content they would probably ignore by offering them goodies from other content they’re ignoring is back. That’s right. Now you can get some more mounts from the Tribal quests and Savage content you haven’t done yet by engaging in the PvP you’re probably avoiding or running Praetorium a bunch of times. Okay, there are more options than that and if you’re leveling some jobs or trying to get some of the PvP rewards, this could be a good time to go ham on it and walk away with something extra for your efforts. A rundown of those goodies and what it takes to get them is available on the Lodestone.
All that aside, the announcement of another Moogle Treasure Trove is also a pretty good indicator as to when players should expect update 6.3. As you’ll see on the event’s page, this will last until the update drops. In general, the Treasure Trove lasts about a month – give or take. As this one is kicking off on December 12 and updates generally take place on a Tuesday, players can likely expect the patch to drop on January 10. That’s in line with what a lot of players were thinking after the last Live Letter where Yoshi-P told us to expect the update sometime in January, but probably not January 3. It also gives us time for the second Live Letter to air. We're going to guess we’ll be getting a date for that within the next week or so.
