The F2P, Fast-Paced, Roller Derby Game, Roller Champions, Will Release On May 25
Lace up your skates and get ready to partake in the latest roller sport.
The free-to-play PvP roller derby game by Ubisoft, Roller Champions, is set to launch on May 25 on PC, PlayStation devices, Xbox One and Series X. Later, the game will also come to Nintendo Switch, Stadia, and Amazon Luna, although a specific date for those platforms has not been announced as of yet.
In this new game, Roller Champions arenas are built all over the world as fans flood the stands to admire their roller derby heroes. There are two teams of three players. Each team is trying their best to not only keep possession of a ball, but also to toss it through a hoop to gain points. Holding on to the ball will be a high stakes/high reward kind of scenario because the more laps a team completes while holding the ball, the more points they can score when they throw it through the hoop. (For example, three laps would equate to three points), if they lose the ball without scoring, all the points are lost, regardless of how many points their team stacked up.
Players will be able to tackle opponents, wall-skate into the sky, and dunk in this fast-paced game. Eventually, players will be able to unlock new leagues and stadiums. Players will also be able to customize their champion to truly feel like they are a part of the Rocket Champions sport.
