The Elder Scrolls Online Previews New Trial And Group World Event Coming In Necrom
Sanity’s Edge And Bastion Nymic arrive with the Necrom Chapter.
On June 5, the next content update for The Elder Scrolls Online will arrive on PC and Mac. Titled Necrom, the update will add two new group activities to the game, Bastion Nymic and Sanity’s Edge. The first is a world event designed with a maximum of four players in mind. The event takes players to a mysterious Apocryphian fortress, which is rumored to protect Hermaeus Mora’s greatest secrets.
Interestingly, the word “Nymic” is tied to the game’s Daedra – which players have been dealing with for a bit now in the game. Nymics are their true names and as names have power, can be used to banish them or make them servants. Hermaeus Mora has taken it upon himself to protect these great secrets of the Daedra – of course, that also means he has power over every Daedra whose true name he chooses to protect.
The problem is that others would like that power as well and have taken it upon themselves to invade his Bastion. Now he needs help driving them away. But, before doing that, players will need to determine how they’re getting in in the first place.
Sanity’s Edge is a bigger challenge, a trial designed for twelve players in the MMORPG. This group of twelve will enter the mind of Warlock Vanton, where he is trapped by a Daedra named Ansuul the Tormentor, and help him fight those nightmares off to escape. It won’t be easy. Nightmare-brain shenanigans never are. The world inside Vanton’s mind is twisted and unpredictable, influenced by the Daedra as it is.
Of course, players will receive special rewards for taking on these activities. Completing them will contribute to zone rewards, including the Berylglow Nix-Ox Steede, as well as other items.
