The Elder Scrolls Online’s Fallen Banners DLC Launches On PC Alongside Update 45
The DLC introduces two new dungeons.
Today, as promised, the new Fallen Banners DLC dungeon pack dropped for the PC version of The Elder Scrolls Online. The pack includes two new dungeons that are part of a bigger story where players work to keep Cyrodiil from succumbing to chaos. In the first dungeon, Lep Seclusa, players must defend the Moth Priests and the Elder Scroll they guard from the onslaught of Orpheon the Tactician. Players help Sister Chana defend the sanctuary, protecting its people and secrets.
The second dungeon, Exiled Redoubt, sends players to an Imperial fortress to determine why soldiers of the Alliance War are disappearing. The strange thing is that the faction the soldiers fight for has no bearing on the disappearances. Everyone’s a potential target. Players will work with Battlemage Lucilla to enter the fortress and put a stop to it.
Of course, new dungeons mean new loot. Players will be able to unlock new collectibles, item sets, and other goodies, including the Tactician’s Gold Lattice Skin (seen above). As this is DLC, it does mean having to dole out cash. If your ESO Plus membership has lapsed (or you just don’t have one), you’ll need to subscribe. Keep in mind that if your membership lapses, you’ll lose access again.
That said, there is other content that dropped on PC today as well. Specifically, the update 45 base-game patch. This update is free to everyone and features several improvements to the game, ranging from a starter zone refresh to make things look prettier to general bug fixes. The launch of the update also means Alliance War veterans can help test changes to the MMORPG’s open-world PvP – provided you’re on PC or Mac, that is. As for consoles, both the DLC and the patch will drop on March 26.
