The Elder Scrolls Online Announces April Free Play Event
And the obligatory sale to go along with it.
Would you like to visit Tamriel for a bit? Throw on some sorcerer or dragonknight gear and travel across as many of the 24 different zones in The Elder Scrolls Online as you can? Now is your chance. Beginning today, Bethesda and Zenimax are offering players a chance to hop into the MMORPG for free. The free trial is available on PC, Mac, Xbox, and PlayStation and will run through April 17.
To kick off their free trial, players will need to visit the Free Play page and select a platform. After doing that, they’ll have access to the base game including four classes – Sourcerer, Nightblade, Templar, and Dragonknight. They’ll also have access to the various PvP modes.
As an additional bonus, players who have done a free play event before will find their progress from the last one saved. Brand new accounts will get a different bonus – 500 crowns for the Crown store.
Speaking of stores, free play events are intended to convince players to buy the game, so between now and April 20, players can pick up the High Isle Chapter – any edition – at 67% off. Beginning April 20, the base came will be on sale at 70% off. There will also be discounts on various Crown Packs.
