The Division 2's Next Big Update Is Coming In February
"One of our most ambitious to date."
Ubisoft's had so much going on with its new games lately -- like XDefiant and Ghost Recon Frontline -- that one of its mainstays, The Division 2, seems to have fallen by the wayside. Acknowledging that they have been "particularly quiet in the recent months," the dev team today posted a State of the Game blog piece where they provided some details regarding what's next for the franchise.
The next update is being billed as "one of our most ambitious to date," and "to deliver this content on par with our vision," the next season, game mode and other content won't be added to the game until February of next year. Until that update goes live, there will be monthly articles detailing the changes coming to the returning Intelligence Annex intiative; the first one comes tomorrow and talks about the specialization revamp.
The end of Season 7 in December will see an in-game event, "reintroducing some player-favourite global events," while the new season itself will be revealed in January. Ubisoft will be implementing a dedicated public test server on PC to let players have a hand in making sure the new content is up to par.
