If you haven't done so already, Dune: Awakening has a benchmark and character creator up right now ahead of the survival game's planned May 20th launch on PC. If you've already been through that, we've got a new preview video from the team at Funcom you can check out. Today's video shows off more of the diversity you'll find on Arrakis. Sure, there's a lot of desert. However, the team previously showed off various biomes you may not have expected to see.

Today's video takes things forward a bit by showing off some of the tech you'll need to use to traverse, explore, and gather to ensure your survival when almost everything seems out to kill you. From vehicles equipped with resource scanners to resource drones and the iconic Ornithopter, it'll be up to you to find your place in this Spice-driven world.

There's a bit of a catch though. You see, according to Anakin, sand gets everywhere. When it's blown up into the air, areas that were previously accessible may find themselves buried for a while. This feature allows the world of Dune: Awakening to stay unpredictable. Arrakis changes weekly so you won't ever really have a full picture of the world's map. Things change out here and you'll need to change with them to survive.

It's kind of a neat feature and one that makes sense from both a lore perspective and a variety viewpoint. Are you cool with it?
