The Day Before Delayed Again, Restored On Steam, New December Date Will Be "Early Access" Priced At $39
Stop us if you've heard this one before...
Seriously, I cannot recommend enough that you do NOT buy into The Day Before's early access until you've seen a lot of what the game has to offer from your favorite content creators. Now that you've been warned, here's what happened today when The Day Before revealed their "Final" trailer ahead of what was a planned November 10th launch.
First, we never got a beta at all and the team had been talking about doing so prior to launch, so when the FNTASTIC team announced a stream yesterday, it was pretty much a given that the zombie survival game was going to be delayed yet again.
It was.
The new date is December 7th, however, this isn't "launch" it is "early access." That means we're unlikely to get any type of real beta ahead of that date since a month isn't really enough time to host a beta, gather feedback, and action that feedback in any meaningful way. Seems like "early access" will be their "beta".
That's why I say do not buy into early access. Early access is going to cost you $39 and the "full launch", whenever the hell that comes around, will be $49. Next gen console release will also be with the official "launch", not early access.

I say "whenever that comes around" because the team is very vague about the plans. In their tweet, they simply say that full launch will happen when they are "certain this is the best version of the game possible." That means you can expect to hear a lot of "well we're still in early access" excuses when this doesn't go well initially.
While the game won't have pre-orders, it will be available on Steam as FNTASTIC did officially win the right to use their name. The Steam page is already live again.
We also saw the "Final" trailer for The Day Before. If you're looking for 3 minutes of some edited video and voiceover that doesn't really show off a whole lot except a "feature list" of in-game items like inventory, questing, and of course, saunas, the video is below.
