The Cycle: Frontier's Second Closed Beta Test Kicks Off Tomorrow
Includes new faction missions, creature variants, and revised maps.
The last time we heard about a closed beta for Yager's The Cycle: Frontier, it was that the test would be adding new campaigns for each of the three factions, as well as bringing back the Korolev Laser Drill surface activity. We were also told that the test would start on March 10, but that clearly hasn't been the case; instead, the second closed beta will begin tomorrow, March 16, as was described in greater detail in a post today.
In addition to the previously mentioned elements, new creature variations "will provide an even greater challenge to those bold enough to explore the less welcoming area of the planet." Those tougher beasties will come with greater rewards for those daring enough to take them down.
Yager also provided further detail regarding the changes coming to the Bright Sands and Crescent Falls maps. Paths on both maps have been added or tweaked to make traversal easier and prevent players from getting stuck, while loot has been revised to strike a balance between contract requirements and points of interest.
You can sign up for The Cycle: Frontier's beta test on the game's Steam page or its website (though that one isn't working at the time of publication).
