The Cycle: Frontier Addresses Cheating In Latest Blog Post About Season 3
The post also discusses player comfort and addressing stability issues.
As The Cycle: Frontier team prepares for the game’s next season, they’ve decided to take out time to discuss some of the more technical aspects of the game. Mostly this discussion revolves around cheating and hacking and how they’ve addressed it. It’s mostly high-level stuff because as we all know now, no developer wants to explain their entire system and give the people they’re trying to catch the tools to work around it.
Rather than giving all the dirty little details, the post discusses stuff like cheating victim compensation, preventing banned cheaters from creating new accounts, building up an anti-cheat team, and using third-party software. Yeah. We’re talking about BattlEye there.
As mentioned, the post also discusses technical improvements made to make things a bit more comfortable for players. This includes updates to the tutorial and general gameplay. The tutorial offers an improved explanation of basic mechanics, from selling items to PvP. And, finally, the post discusses connectivity, and the reconnect feature introduced in Season 2.
