The Cycle: Frontier's Next Beta Test Is In March, Will Add Faction Campaigns And More
New campaigns will serve as a guide while granting gear and insights into lore.
The Cycle: Frontier's next beta test will run over about three weeks in March and introduces new faction campaigns, activities, monsters, and map tweaks. Yager Development outlined the upcoming changes in a blog post today, as it looks to drum up further interest in the revamp of its PvPvE shooter.
The new campaigns build upon the "odd jobs" prospectors were doing in previous betas for the game's three in-game factions (Korolev, ICA, and Osiris). They'll "guide you through your first steps on the surface and will eventually lead you into the usual contracts," while also granting you gear as you progress and revealing tidbits of lore along the way.
The Korolev Laser Drill makes its return to the game as a surface activity, while new variants of Striders, Rattlers, and Crushers will test players' combat skills. The Bright Sands and Crescent Falls maps are also seeing changes to make traversal easier and balance out the placement of loot.
Closed Beta 2 for The Cycle: Frontier runs from March 10-28. You can sign up for the test on Steam and the Epic Games Store.
