The Cult Of The Dragon Returns In Neverwinter’s Latest Event
Once again, the cult will try to take the city and those who stop them will be rewarded.
Like a bad apple, the Cult of the Dragon is headed back to Neverwinter to lay siege to the city. Within the city and without, they are set on destruction. It should be no surprise that players are being called upon to defend against them, facing the cult in a variety of ways.
During the event, players can defend the city from the inside in the Cult Invasion activity, or defeat bands of warriors in Cult Warband. If they’d rather not give the invaders an opportunity to get the upper hand, there’s also the Counter Attack activity. Finally, players will need to help defend against flying boulders and dragons in the Cult Catapults and Dragon Attack activities, respectively.
Of course, there will be rewards, one of which is the Floating Island mount. Players can also pick up a token of achievement for completing the daily “Siege of Neverwinter” quest 14 times to use in the MMORPG’s Achievement Store. For doing more than the 14-day minimum, players will receive Tokens of Challenge to use in the Challenge Store. Participation will also be rewarded on its own, with players being able to obtain up to 42 Tokens of Participation. All of this means more rewards, such as the Defender’s Pack which may drop the Siegebreaker Griffon mount – seen above. Other rewards are listed on the event’s announcement page.
The event starts tomorrow, February 13th, and runs until March 6th.
