The Critically Acclaimed MMORPG Final Fantasy XIV’s Free Trial Returns, Crafting And Gathering Guide Posted
Queues are down and that means free trials are back on the table.
Finally, free trial players can return to Final Fantasy XIV. Things have calmed way down now that many players have completed the Endwalker storyline so Square Enix opened the last of the flood gates today.

That said, there are still some servers that are marked as “congested” on the XIV server status site. That means that anyone looking to create characters there is going to have a time getting it done – unless you want to try around 3 AM server time. The good news is, most data centers have plenty of open worlds to create new characters on. But, if you’re planning on going for Aether, you may have issues. The only thing to do there is to wait and see.
On an additional note, if you’re big into crafting, Square Enix recently posted a new crafting and gathering guide for players on the XIV site.
