The Classic Erangel Map Returns To PUBG, As Does Reduced Recoil Patterns
Nostalgia is a helluva drug...
PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds (PUBG) is bringing back the original Erangel map.
Available on PC from May 14, Krafton aims to rekindle memories of the battle royale's early days by offering players a chance to relive the classic Erangel experience. From foggy and rainy weather to iconic bench weapons on the starting island, the map promises to evoke a sense of familiarity and fondness among longtime fans of the battle royale FPS. There’s even vintage UI and mechanics.
That being said, there are now changes to gameplay mechanics — such as firearm recoil. Please be aware that the reversion back to old recoil patterns may disrupt your consistency and muscle memory if you’re a long-time player. This adjustment has sparked debate among the community, with opinions divided on whether it enhances or detracts from the game’s experience.
