The Caldari Get The – Current – Upper-hand In Even Online With The First Interstellar Shipcaster
The one-way system flings players from their faction’s HQ to FW warzones.
There’s a lot going on in Eve Online lately – what with the game’s 20th anniversary and all. Not only are there a lot of celebrations underway, but war never stops in New Eden, and as is the case with these things, the factions keep coming up with more ways to make combat faster and deadlier – and one of those ways has just made its way into the game.
Known as the Interstellar Shipcaster, this new structure has been introduced to New Eden, thanks to the Caldari State who made use of stellar transmuter tech and acquired all the necessary materials from the worst regions in space. At the moment, they’re the only ones with this new tech (although, we’re sure the others won’t be too far behind) and thus they have the advantage in combat taking place in FW warzone. That’s mostly because they’ll make it there before everyone else.
The Interstellar Shipcaster is a one-way device used to move pilots from their faction’s HQ to the FW Warzone – and only the FW warzone. They function separately from existing gate systems. Ideally, each faction will eventually have one shipcaster in their main system. Of course, as with everything in Eve, they’re going to have to invest a lot of time and resources in order for that to happen.
In other news, as we mentioned before, EVE Online is celebrating its 20th anniversary. In addition to updating the monument, CCP also decided to celebrate the game’s community by highlighting members of the game’s community. CCP sent out an email earlier today highlighting the first of these individuals – a player known as The Space Pope.
The Space Pope is a NASA Knowledge Management Analyst by the name of Charles White. In game, he’s also known as an industrialist Caldaari admiral by the name of Max Singularity. His status as Space Pope may have begun as a joke, but these days he takes it pretty seriously, even doing the normal spiritual leader stuff like blessing other players’ newborn babies, overseeing memories, and officiating weddings. Gotta love it.
