The Borg Are Back In Star Trek Online And Resistance Is...Oh Forget It, You Know
Take on remastered versions of three Borg Task Force Operations during the Borg Resurgence Event.
Every time you think you’ve done away with them, they come back for more. As we should probably expect by now, the Borg are returning to Star Trek Online in the Borg Resurgence event starting tomorrow. This event features three of the more popular Borg TFOs, all remastered. During the event, which will run until March 15, players can relive their favorite encounter with Star Trek’s big baddies while earning a Dispersing Nanoprobe Assimilator.
To access the event, players just need to look in their journal and look under the “Events” tab. They’ll find all the relevant info needed to take part there. This is part of the new Events system and the good news is that it’s shared across a player’s entire account. Progress has also been automated, doing away with the need to collect and slot tokens. The whole thing is very streamlined.
The Borg Resurgence isn’t the only event players have to look forward to in the near future. In fact, it’s just Part 1 of an event campaign. That means it’s the player's first opportunity to receive the event reward, but not the last. That said, it only takes fourteen days' worth of Daily Progress to claim the big prize, so if you’re going to be logging in anyway, you might as well get it done.
