The Blizzard Holiday Sale Is On, The Dragonflight Roadmap Is Out, And There's An Expansion Free Trial
Save up to 67% depending on your purchase.
Ah… The holidays... The time of year when companies try to get a larger drop of our money at once by taking smaller amounts from each of us. Of course, it works out for us, because who wants to spend full price on anything?
Currently, Blizzard is hosting its annual Holiday Sale, offering discounts of up to 67% off. The sale will last through January 2, during which time, players can get deals on Call of Duty, Overwatch, Diablo, and – of course – World of Warcraft.
Speaking of WoW, purchasing the new Dragonflight expansion during the sale period won’t result in a direct discount. Instead, players will receive an extra 30 days of free game time. It doesn’t matter which version of the expansion you buy either. There's also a free 30-day trial available for those who may not have decided to purchase the expansion yet. It offers players the chance to play up to level 63 in the Waking Shores and through Chapter 1 of the campaign.
On an additional note, Blizzard dropped a bit of a roadmap for what's to come in Dragonflight next year. The post can be read in full here.
Note: Activision Blizzard is still under investigation by the state of California for serious harassment charges. CEO Bobby Kotick is alleged to have known about such actions within his company – and performed some himself – and shielded the perpetrators from consequences.
