Techrot Encore is now live in Warframe and it might just be the largest audio/visual extravaganza in the looter-shooter that I've ever seen. Digital Extremes has played with the idea of frames being based on music before. Octavia initially brought the beat into combat back in 2017. However, judging by the trailer below, the game's 60th frame really takes those ideas to the next level. As part of today's free update, Temple brings their guitar into battle and utilizes pillars of fire, a signature pistol, and hitting high notes to become invulnerable to keep the beat alive while your foes die.

That guitar, by the way, is self aware. You can call them Lizzie.

Speaking of music, other content in Techrot Encore also finds musical inspiration. The Technocyte Coda, for example, allows you to challenge members of a boy band to individual boss fights. Two new missions types include a mode where you're literally defending a stage while a concert goes on. You can rock out to a new original track called "Lamenting the Days" below. The track was made in collaboration with Jake Bowen and Mark Holcomb from metal band Periphery featuring vocalist Elliot Coleman from the rock group Good Tiger.

Don't forget to take on the new mini-game racing on your Atomicycle when you need a bit of a break.
