Texas Chain Saw Massacre Answers Questions About Upcoming Technical Test
All of the whens, wheres, and hows.
The Texas Chain Saw Massacre game is heading into a technical test later this month, and here's everything you need to know about the when, where, and how of getting in.
The technical test begins on Thursday, May 25th, and runs through that weekend. The test will be available on PC via Steam. The sign-ups will be available on the Steam page sometime before the test begins. This is a technical test, so the developers will have an eye on how the game handles the player base, the servers, the gameplay, and other ins and outs. The test will be the latest version of the game but not the finished product. The only map available will be the Family House map.
The PC specs needed to play Texas Chain Saw Massacre are:
1080p 30FPS - i5 CPU / 8GB RAM / 30GB HDD / RTX 2070
1080p 60FPS - i7 CPU / 16GB RAM / 30GB HDD / RTX 3070
4K 30FPS - i7 CPU / 16GB RAM / 30GB HDD / RTX 3090
4K 60FPS - i9 CPU / 16GB RAM / 30 GB HDD / RTX 4090
If you are chosen to participate you will receive a confirmation email from Steam. There are limited spots available, though the total number of players to be invited has not yet been determined. The tech test will be free to join.
The technical test for Texas Chain Saw Massacre does not require an NDA, so you can stream, record, and create content for the game. You can read the full FAQ on the official Texas Chain Saw Massacre site.
