We've known about a new map coming to New World: Aeternum's Outpost Rush PvP mode for months now. The MMORPG's team even detailed that Season 7 would feature a chance for players to test out the new location. That chance is coming this weekend.

Starting Friday February 7th and running until Monday February 10th, players can queue up for Outpost Rush via the Activity Finder in game and see the new locale. The new map was teased in pieces all weekend via New World social media channels, but now we have a look at the entire field above. The battleground isn't fully released yet, however. Amazon Games wants to use this test weekend to gather feedback to further refine the map before a full release.

If you opt to take part in testing your PvP prowess in Coral Divide, you can snag a few rewards for doing so. Each day offers a new XP boost to either Season, Gathering, or Weapon XP. You'll also earn one Gold Cursed Coconut each day you participate. However, even if you don't want to enter the fray, you can get a few perks by checking out 8 hours of eligible streams.

The devs think this new map offers a better experience by making the map a bit smaller, reducing the number of direct paths to outposts, and adding more controlled sightlines. Now it'll be up to players to see if it works out the way they intended.
