Test Lady Luck To Score A Jackpot In Foamstars' New "Tropical Jackpot" Season
Chase a slot machine while it spits out coins? Sure, sounds legit.
Square Enix's "totally not Splatoon-inspired at all, please stop saying that" foam shooter Foamstars wants you to hit the jackpot in the PlayStation game's new sixth season, Tropical Jackpot. The season runs until August 29th and adds a new mode that is a little...well...weird.
Here's the scoop: you chase around a crazy slot machine as it spews coins all over the casino-themed new map and catch coins that it drops. When your team gains enough coins, a "victory bottle" appears and you need to scramble to snag it, shake it, and pop the cork to win the match.
Sure, why not?
During the season, the new "Jackpot Scramble" mode will only be running during certain time periods. Make sure you check the calendar if you want to try it out.
- Week 1: 6:00 p.m. on Thursday, July 25 - 5:00 p.m. on Sunday, July 28
- Week 2: 5:00 p.m. on Thursday, August 1 - 5:00 p.m. on Sunday, August 4
- Week 3: 5:00 p.m. on Thursday, August 8 - 5:00 p.m. on Sunday, August 11
- Week 4: 5:00 p.m. Thursday, August 15 - 5:00 p.m. on Sunday, August 18
- Week 5: 5:00 p.m. Thursday, August 22 - 5:00 p.m. on Sunday, August 25
The action takes place on a new map with the same "casino jackpot" theme. The new map is divided into 4 sections, each with smaller running themes.
Season 6 gives the usual new battle pass and cosmetic rewards. Check out the trailer below.
