After a delay of about 6 days, and some extra emergency maintenance this morning, Tera cross-platform play has been implemented in the long running, free-to-play MMORPG. Today, the game will now allow players on PS4 and XBox to play together and a server merge has been implemented to help bolster the populations for players, allowing matchmaking to hopefully decrease its queue timers.

The maintenance also kicks off a series of events in game including the 2020 Wintera Snowfield Event, the Demon's Wheel Dungeon Event, a Level Up Event, a Dungeon Turbo Time Weekend, and a login event. The store also has some discounts running that will save players 20% on any purchase, and although this discount is billed as a "Black Friday" deal, the discounts will actually run until December 8th. You can check out a full list of events and their running dates on the Tera site.

As a way of thanking players for their maintenance patience, Tera has passed out 500 Tera Coin packages that also include a 1-day Elite Status Gold membership. Compensation for recent NA/EU server crashes will also be doled out, but the post isn't specific on what those prizes will be so NA/EU players may have a fun surprise when they launch their console versions of Tera today.
