Techland Commits To Five Years Of Post Launch Game Support For Dying Light 2
Yes. That means more content.
Dying Light 2 hasn’t launched yet, but that hasn’t stopped developer Techland from making a pretty big post-launch commitment to the game. Today a member of the Techland team revealed via Twitter that they’re committing to five years of game support post-launch. According to the tweet, that support specifically includes new content, so they’re not just saying they’ll keep the servers alive for that long.
Rather, they plan to continue to add new story content via DLC, more game locations, new in-game items, and new events. Considering how expanding a game’s story generally works, all the other things just kind of make sense. Of course, Dying Light 2 isn’t 100% multiplayer, but it does offer players the option, so it will be interesting to see what the balance on that content is like.
We'll be committing to 5 years of game support post launch which means:
- More Story DLCs
- More Events
- More Locations
- More in-game itemsPersonally, this is one of the main reasons why I joined Techland in the first place. Gamers first.#DyingLight2 pic.twitter.com/wkBkoZmJxm
