Call Of Duty Cheaters Will Soon Find Everyone In A Match Invisible...Except Them

Cheaters never prosper, in fact, they get banned.

CoD Vanguard

Starting from today, the PC kernel-level anti-cheat security driver from #TeamRICOCHET will be released globally for Call of Duty: Vanguard. This driver will also eventually be applied to Warzone to bring parity for anti-cheat drivers across both titles. One concern in the CoD community is how cheating has affected the global leaderboards. However, players should rest assured that any ban to a player will indeed be reflected in the leaderboard for each title. If someone has been banned from the platform due to cheating, their name will also be knocked from the leaderboard.

To those who want to deal out their own form of vigilante justice, players can take advantage of a new mitigation and detection technique called, Cloaking. Players who are detected to be cheating will find themselves in a difficult (and well deserved) predicament. Cheaters will be unable to see opposing players, characters, bullets, and will not even be able to hear legitimate sounds from other players. However, the legitimate, rule-abiding players will be able to spot individuals who are impacted by cloaking and can give some in-game punishment. This should give legitimate players a leg up on cheaters.

In a previous update by Call of Duty’s Twitter, they announced that over 90,000 accounts have been shuttered in a recent ban. Since the update, #TeamRICOCHET has banned an additional 54,000 accounts. While great strides are being made to remove cheating from the game, it is asked for and encouraged that players report any cheating they may encounter. Through that it will be easier to make proper updates in the fight against unfair play. To read the full post, feel free to head over to Call of Duty's blog.
