Tarisland’s Latest Dungeon Preview Demonstrates Why You Never Let Fallen Druids Conduct Unsupervised Experiments
Way to ruin things for everyone, Zelo.
Earlier today, Level Infinite posted another dungeon preview for Tarisland. This one offers players a look at the Merfolk Swamp located in the MMORPG's Misty Forest. Once the peaceful home of the Merfolk clans, the swamp has changed significantly following the arrival of a fallen Druid named Zelo.
Zelo’s set up shop in the swamp and has been conducting experiments that result in the local wildlife mutating into monsters ready to destroy anything in their path – including the swamp itself. Even the air has changed.
Even the Merfolk are not immune to what’s happening and players will find themselves having to fight not only the adults, but the younger ones who will summon reinforcements. Once players are past the Merfolk, they take on the dungeon’s first boss, “Trendsetter” Fraser. This is the leader of the Merfolk, by virtue of the fact that his mutation made him more intelligent.
Once past this first boss, players will have to deal with mutated mushrooms that spray damage-dealing spores while attacking. Making it past these fungi will lead players to the Kraken, a boss that uses water for AoE attacks and contaminates the battle arena.
In the last lake of their journey, players take on Darkfin Warriors, but they’ll have to keep an eye out for them because they like to hide in the dark. The whole thing ends with a battle against Darkfin General Kranos, a hybrid monster covered in scales. He, too, uses water in combat. He can also summon reinforcements to help him during combat.
