Tame Dinosaurs And Fight Samurai With This Week's EGS Freebies
It looks like this is going to be another pretty good week for those taking advantage of the Epic Games Store's free game options. Now that the new week of free games has kicked off, players can pick up Ark: Survival Evolved or Samurai Shodown Neogeo collection -- or both, no one's judging you here -- for free until next Thursday.
As is the case with pretty much every major game included in the weekly free offerings, Ark: Survival Evolved is (mostly) limited to the base game. There are a few free addons available, but the Explorer's Edition as well as a few other addons will cost you. Still, the base game runs $50, and that's a pretty good save.
As for the Samurai Shodown Neogeo Collection, this offering features six existing Neogeo games -- Samurai Shodown I, II, III, IV Amakusa's Revenge, V, and V Special -- and a "mysterious, unrleased" game -- Samurai Shodown V Perfect the final version of V Special, all for free. Normally the set would run $40, so again, you're saving a pretty solid amount of money.
Also, if you're looking for a new adventure game to try out, the EGS is offering Thimbleweed Park for free. Technically it's a "free prototype" -- basically a demo, but it's still something to do.
