Take Your EverQuest 2 Character On A Ride Through The Next Expansion's Beta If You Pre-Order, Beta Now Live
Scars of Destruction's beta is up and will run until the expansion is "ready to ship."
EverQuest II is closing in on the launch of the MMORPG's 21st expansion. Yeah, that's pretty nuts to think about and it always gets me every time Darkpaw and Daybreak announce another expansion to both EverQuest titles. Scars of Desctruction is set to release sometime in November. We don't have the exact date yet, but the pre-orders are now live and, if you buy in, you can jump into the expansion's beta right now.
Starting at $34.99 and going all the way up to $249.99 for the "Family and Friends" bundle, the expansion offers 4 different packages, each with an increasing number of pre-order bonuses included.
If you buy one and hop into the beta, you can copy your current character now and take them into the beta server to test out new features including new Solo, Heroic, and and Raid content. There's new Adventure, Tradeskill, and Signature quests taking place in familiar zones and some new locations. Other features include giving your weapons a bit of a glamour with new Weapon Auras and the ability to add Petamorph Wands to your Petamorph Key Ring.
The beta will run up to the time Scars of Destruction is "ready to ship" so you've likely got a bit over a month of beta time to lock in some rewards for testing the new content. Rewards vary based on what you accomplish in beta, so check out the full list to make sure you hit all the requirements for the rewards you're interested in.
In other EQ2 news, Halloween is nearly here and with it comes a few free rewards. Preview them in the official post.
