Take On The Alien Menace (And Get Out Alive) In Rainbow Six Extraction, Out Today
Rainbow Six Siege also available on Game Pass.
It's operators versus aliens in the latest installment in the Rainbow Six Series, Rainbow Six Extraction, which has now launched for PC and consoles. Form a team of three to dive into alien-infested territory, and try to make it back alive. If you don't, then the next team will have to come for you. And if they don't make it back ... well, it just gets worse from there.
Rainbow Six Extraction features many of the same operators from Rainbow Six Siege, with some new tech to help them take on new enemies. Each mission has a variety of objectives to fulfill, such as collecting samples or extracting data from computers, and you can choose how far you go into each mission, increasing your risk but also your reward.
If your operator doesn't make it out, then he or she becomes unplayable until you can send in another team to extract them. In addition, operators who are seriously hurt during the mission will need some time to heal before going on another.
The alien enemies, called the Archaeans, come in a variety of forms -- 13 in total -- and have spread the "sprawl" over much of their claimed territory, which slows operators' movement speed and makes the aliens stronger.
You can play Rainbow Six Extraction on Xbox Game Pass, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Stadia, Amazon Luna, and PC; notably, it's not available on Steam. Rainbow Six Siege is also now offered on Game Pass, but to play either game, you'll need to connect your Game Pass account to your Ubisoft account.
