SWTOR Update 5.3 Adds New Operation Boss Fight and Manaan Stronghold
At some point, nearly all MMOs evolve (or is it devolve?) into Fashion Wars. The newest update for Star Wars: The Old Republic doesn't even try to hide that, with two of its primary three highlights being cosmetic updates. Oh, and there's a new boss battle, too, but who cares? Let's play dress-up!
Game Update 5.3 adds a new stronghold for players on the watery world of Manaan, offering "expansive ocean views, underwater chambers, and sleek styling" and also allowing players to own up to six strongholds. But who's going to visit? How about your trusty companions, Lana Beniko and Koth Vortena, each of whom now have full customization options, allowing you to dress them in any way you like. I think Koth would look fabulous in a metal bikini ...
There's also a new Boss Battle in the Gods from the Machine operation: Aivela and Esne, the "Sisters of Carnage." And there are the usual slate of bug fixes and enhancements, including: "Tanno Vik has been convinced to put clothes on and will no longer appear naked in Knights of the Fallen Empire cutscenes." Whew.
