SWTOR Update 7-6-1

Bioware hosted the Star Wars The Old Republic 7.6.1 livestream, providing players all the details on what they can expect when the update drops in the MMORPG. Included in the preview was information on Galactic Season 8 “Rising Powers,” as well as a preview of the new Basilisk Venture Customizations, additions to the Cartel Market, and other updates.

Those who missed the livestream can now view it (as always, we’ve embedded it below), or if you’d rather read about it, the devs have provided a recap with shorter videos throughout on the SWTOR website. Probably the most important bit of information is what’s coming in Galactic Season 8. In this season, Kai Zykken is looking for someone to try out Czerka’s Experimental Combat Enhancers by returning to the Uprisings content.

To facilitate this, the devs are opening Uprisings to players who have reached level 10. When players consume the combat enhancer, they’ll receive one of three buffs: Destruction Overload, Czerka Combat Drones, or Unstable Radiation Field. All three offer the player a way to inflict serious damage on their foes. That said, they could also enhance those same enemies, so there is a little risk involved.

Speaking of upcoming content, the Relics of Gree and Pirate Incursion events return in March. The first will run from March 4 to March 10 and will be accessible to players level 50 or higher. The Pirate Incursion will welcome players level 20 or higher between March 18 and March 24.
