SWTOR Delays Updates Due To COVID-19
BioWare's Star Wars: The Old Republic team is working on the game from home and updates are coming, but there are a few issues that will cause delays. While the development team is able to work from home, the voice actors -- of which there are many -- don't all have the ability to record their lines without going to an actual studio.
Because of these issues, the team has decided to push back some of the upcoming releases. That said, the first release -- update 6.1.1 -- isn't that far off and is expected to drop on April 21. This update will make changes to Conquests, class systems, and more. It'll also kick off a double xp event. But, it will not include the Master Mode of the Dxun operation. Instead, that will be released in the next update.
Originally intended to be update 6.2, the next update will instead be 6.1.2, and as mentioned contain the Dxun operation Master Mode, as well as quality of life updates, and other bits of content. This update is expected to arrive some time in June.
Of course, this is all subject to change depending on circumstances, so it would be wise for players to keep an eye on the game's forums for any updates on the situation.
