SUPERVIVE Is Answering The Call Of Players And Moving The MOBA/Battle Royale/Hero Shooter To Open Beta Early
Uh oh...they're using the old "10,000 Game" tag line again...
Hype is hype, and sometimes that hype can turn around and bite developers right in the behind. Remember when Spectre Divide recently dubbed itself as your "next 10,000 hour obsession?" Yeah, that's not exactly panning out just yet.
Now SUPERVIVE, hot off the heels of a pretty successful Steam Next Fest test, is making that same claim in a press release in a section entitled, "The Next 10,000 Hour Game, with the Numbers to Prove It."
Whether or not the MOBA/battle royale/hero shooter mash up makes that target has yet to be determined, but the team at Theorycraft Games is ready to find out as they've decided to move their open beta up. You'll be able to hop into the game starting on November 20th and you can wishlist it on Steam right now to make sure you get notified.
“We’re floored by the groundswell of passion and support SUPERVIVE received during Steam Next Fest. After seeing all the new players coming in, how many games they were playing, and the waves of requests we got to leave the servers on… We knew we had to get our Open Beta out there,” says Joe Tung, CEO and co-founder of Theorycraft Games.
Open beta will just be the beginning of the road for SUPERVIVE as the team hopes to continue to develop the game out in the open with the help of its community. While SUPERVIVE will be F2P, there are, of course, supporter packs you can grab to score a few cosmetics and cash shop currency. The $19.99 bundle unlocks the first 16 hunters, and the $44.99 bundle will unlock those 16 heroes and the next 4 that come to the game, in addition to other bonus items.
