Super Smash Bros. Ultimate Finally Adds Kingdom Hearts Sora To The Lineup
It’s been a good day for Smash fans.
Prepare yourselves to feel those feels that you can only get when you hear the opening notes to Simple and Clean. Today, during the final Mr. Sakurai Presents For Super Smash Bros. Ultimate, a long-hoped-for character was added to the game’s lineup. Sora, of the Kingdom Hearts franchise, is ready to fight – keyblade and all.
This is excellent news for players who frequently requested Sora as a fighter via the Smash Bros. Fighter Ballot. In fact, he was the most requested character. Players won’t only be getting the standard look for Sora, but about 8 different looks including his main outfits for the primary games in the Kingdom Hearts franchise, the black and white Timeless River look, and the Kingdom Hearts II Ultimate Form design. Fans will also love Sora’s stage, which has that stained glass platform feel we’re all familiar with from the original games and nine Kingdom Hearts themes have been selected to be included.
Sora will be available in Challenger Pack 11 on October 18, for $6 or as part of the Fighters Pass vol 2 for $30.
On an additional note, Animal Crossing’s Isabelle and Doom Guy are (kinda) finally in a game together. A Doom Guy Mii Fighter costume is being added as DLC.
If you missed the Smash stream this morning, don’t worry, we have it below, along with Sora’s trailer.
