Stunlock Studios Talks The Future Of V Rising, Castle Changes, And A Big Update "Sometime Next Year"
Early Access was a success, so what’s next?
Well into early access on V Rising, Stunlock Studios is looking at the future of the game. Today, they dropped a dev blog titled “Future Visions” discussing what players have to look forward to soon. Among various things is a new content patch "sometime next year." The post addresses the 2.5 million players who they have been observing play in order to get a feel for how they’re doing things and how that can be worked into future updates.
While a lot of stuff is still in the works, and there is a potential that not everything they talk about will actually be added to the game, but there are some interesting things that the developers are looking at doing.
One area they’re looking at is castles. As they point out, players have been building a lot of stunning domains. The developers have been looking at ways to add more to domains and are contemplating ways for players to do things like relocate their castles as well as adding more customization and ways for players to interact with their homes. A big feature – should it be added – will be multiple floors. If they are added, it will be a bit before we see them. Other things are currently taking priority. They’re also looking at dressing up gardens and adding castle servants.
Going outside the castle, the devs are working on expanding Vardoran. They’re adding a new biome filled with secrets, enemies, and more. They’re also improving the biomes that are already available in the game. Of course, the game will be getting new weapons and PvE and PvP will be getting some love as well.
