Star Trek Online's T1-T4 Ships Can Now Be Purchased With Dilithium
Okay. So, yes, some T1-T4 ships in Star Trek Online were already purchasable with Dilithium, but now players are going to have even more purchasing options using the in-game currency. With some upcoming changes, prices are being lowered for ships already purchasable for Dilithium and ships requiring Zen to purchase are being converted to Dilithium purchases.
A big result of this change is that players can now buy more ships for the same real-money price -- what with the conversion rate between Zen and Dilithium. Of course, you don't actually have to buy Zen to get these ships at all now, since Dilithium is easily acquired in-game.
The changes haven't made it into the game yet, but they will be available on PC sometime this week. Console players are going to have to wait, as always, and will be able to use Dilithum to purchase more ships on April 9.
On an additional note, the STO team released a behind the scenes video discussing the thought process behind the game's 10th Anniversary episodes, Measure of Morality Parts 1 and 2. The video can be watched below.
