Star Trek Online Victory is Life Coming to PC on June 5th, So Are ST: DS9 Actors
Star Trek Online's Victory is Life expansion is due out on PC on June 5. Of course, that means that the expansion has already been available to players on the test server, so Captains have already been working their way to Level 65 and exploring the sector-wide battlezone in the Gamma Quadrant.
According to a post on MassivelyOP there are a few things some players are disappointed by -- mostly related to the amount of content associated with the new faction the expansion is set to introduce -- the Jem'Hadar. Basically, there's not a lot of it. And that might be an understatement as there's only one mission specific to the faction before they have to decide to join up with either the Federation or the Klingons.
While the new faction may not have a lot of customization options (no option to play as a female...although that last bit makes continuity sense as Jem'Hadar weren't typically female and the first female of their race wasn't created until about three years before when STO is supposed to take place), the new content does feature 12 actors from Star Trek: Deep Space Nine reprising their roles including Nana Visitor as Kira Nerys, Rene Auberjonois as Odo, and Armin Shimerman as Quark so STO fans will probably get that "getting the crew back together" nostalgia punch.
If you want to drop some money on the Gamma Vanguard pack in the game's store, it offers new ships, Jem'Hadar bridge officers, and more but it'll set you back $130
Victory is Life will be released on the XBox One and PS4 versions of the game later this summer.
