Star Trek Online And Neverwinter Raise Over $130K For Charity
In just a little over two weeks, Cryptic Studios and Perfect World Entertainment's partnership with the charity bundle site Groupees has raised quite a bit of money for two worthwhile causes. Over the past few weeks, Groupees offered special bundles for both Star Trek Online and Neverwinter players with 100% of the proceeds going to Pop Culture Hero Coalition and the United Way Bay Area.
Players were able to choose between a $2 or $10 pack for their game of choice on their favorite platform, with the packs containing all kinds of useful and fun goodies. Since the fundraiser launched, players have purchased enough bundles to raise $130,313 for the charities. That's a pretty good haul for a limited amount of time.
