Star Trek Online Heading To Consoles This Fall
Star Trek Online is boldly going to PlayStation 4 and Xbox One this fall, according to an announcement made by Perfect World Entertainment. The console launch will offer six years' worth of currently existing content as well as an updated engine and modified UI. Players can look forward to having 130 featured episodes that allow them to play alongside well-known characters from the Star Trek universe.
The news shouldn't come as too much of a surprise, as it's part of Perfect World's continuing commitment to bringing MMOs to consoles, an initiative that started over two years ago and saw the launch of Neverwinter on Xbox One last year. Yesterday's agreement with Motiga to publish Gigantic, which is set to launch on the Xbox One, also feeds into PWE's console plans.
There's no set date for the console release as of yet, but we'll let you know as soon as anything firm is announced.
