Star Trek Online Celebrates 7th Anniversary By Kicking Off Season 12 Story
Blame it on time-travel or extra-dimensional anomalies, but Star Trek Online is celebrating its seventh anniversary later this month, in open defiance of the Enterprise's "five-year mission." Maybe the last two years never really happened and are part of an alternate timeline.
In any case, the 12th season of Perfect World and Cryptic's MMO, "Reckoning," continues the storyline by sending captains to investigate weaponized protomatter. The featured episode, "Of Signs and Portents" will showcase the voice talents of Tony Todd as General Rodek, who's actually Kurn, the brother of Worf, who had his memory wiped and replaced with a new personality. What, you don't remember that episode?
Outside of the main story, the seventh anniversary celebration will let players earn the Tier 6 Lukari Science Vessel, do daily missions for special rewards, and play the Omega Molecule Stabilization mini-game with Q. The festivities start Jan. 26, and you can read all about them on the Star Trek Online site.
