Star Trek Online "Both Worlds" Update Now Available On PC And It Brings More Borg
PlayStation and Xbox players will have to wait until March to confront the Borg King.
Welcome to the 31st season of Star Trek Online.
Gearbox Publishing and Cryptic Studios have announced the release of "Both Worlds.” Currently available on PC, the update is set to launch on PlayStation and Xbox come March 12. The MMORPG is also celebrating its 14th anniversary.
Both Worlds includes a featured episode titled "Scorpion’s Abyss," where players confront the Borg King. Original Star Trek series cast members reprise their roles too, including Nicole de Boer, Garret Wang, and Kipleigh Brown. The new update also introduces a Task Force Operation (TFO) called "Battle of Wolf 359," allowing players to relive the iconic battle against the Borg. Additionally, the "King and Collective" in-game event lets players earn a new T6 ship, the Alliance Rex Pilot Escort.
A notable feature is the Elite Random TFOs, offering players the option to queue up for Random Elite TFOs for extra rewards. The storyline revolves around a Reality Vortex in Fluidic Space, with Mirror Borg using it as a beachhead for a multiverse assault. Players embark on a mission into a Mirror Borg Unicomplex to face the Borg King.
Bridges are also unlocked now so players can use any bridge of a ship they own on any other ship they own...as long as the ship sizes aren't radically different, of course!
