Star Citizen Shows Off The Latest Updates To StarEngine With Footage Captured In-Engine
It's one long tour across the cosmos with no loading screens.
Star Citizen wants to show off its fancy toys, and they're doing so in 4K. Today, the developer behind the upcoming MMORPG released a video showing off the latest updates to their StarEngine. The footage was recorded in-engine and shows off some of the features the StarEngine provides.
From seamless transition between space and planets to exploring buildings on those planets, the video is a gorgeous look at space in the Star Citizen universe.
The video shows off space travel, on-planet transit systems, and vast areas of planets, and details the engine's capabilities as you explore. If you were at CitizenCon, you already saw this video, however for the public release a few changes have been made including the velocity meter, a change to some graphics towards the end, and the showing of "sweat and tears" on the human at the end rather than blood.
If you're at all curious about what Star Citizen has been up to all these years, this video seems like a good place to start. Impresssive to say the least, but it's still a long road from an engine to a game.
What game would you loved to see in this type of engine?
