Time For Cargo 2.0: Star Citizen’s Latest Alpha Update Improves Cargo, Trade, And Hauling
Get more “hands on” with hauling.
Star Citizen’s latest update, Alpha 3.24, focuses on the more industrious professions – particularly those related to moving goods around to make money. Cargo Empires introduces a “connected network of additions designed to complement each other”. These changes improve cargo, trade, and hauling, and are intended to get players more deeply involved with the system. Deal with everything from contracts to loading and delivering items.
The systems are more complex than hauling a single item from one point to another, though. Players will have to figure out how to efficiently deliver multiple items to multiple places. This includes making the best use of cargo storage, planning pickup, and drop-off routes, and more.
In addition to the profession overhauls, the update also introduces a racing vehicle named Sabre Peregrine to the game. The update is available in the MMORPG today. Patch notes can be found on the Cloud Imperium site.
