Star Citizen - Alpha 3.17: Fueling Fortunes Update Brings New Locations And Career Choices
There's ship-to-ship refueling, selling unwanted inventory items to NPCs, and many more features.
Today, Cloud Imperium Games (CIG) announced the release of Star Citizen - Alpha 3.17: Fueling Fortunes, which expands the "economic and career opportunities available" for players. The update also comes with new locations to explore, ship-to-ship refueling, selling unwanted inventory items to NPCs, and more key features that improve the game and are available now.
As CIG puts it, "life in the 'verse can be dangerous and costly," so they decided to implement new functionalities for Star Citizen players to earn credits. One such change allows players to sell unwanted inventory items to NPC vendors and storefronts after a long haul for resources or hunting pirates. Another way to earn money is ship-to-ship refueling, letting MISC Starfarer owners "refuel ships in space and charge customers for the service." And that goes for the mining gadgets, too, that can increase the yield of minerals on lone asteroids.
Besides the features that can save a player's pockets, Alpha 3.17: Fueling Fortunes brings new places to explore, like the "Maria Pure of Heart Hospital in Lorville." Also, players can now access hospitals in all landing zones of the Stanton system.
Following the new area is the inclusion of the first interactive river tech, filled with plant life and harvestable resources on its surrounding banks. Players can choose to glide over the water to gain those resources or stroll through the environment with a protective helmet against the elements. Also, the entry-level MISC Hull line of commerce-grade cargo ships is now available, making it the perfect starter ship for players beginning their career in trading.
