As The 17th Anniversary Approaches, Lord Of The Rings Online Details 2024 Plans
New raids, class updates, festivals, and more are on the calendar.
Believe it or not, 2024 will mark 17 years of defending Middle Earth in Lord of the Rings Online. According to a letter from Orion posted on the MMORPG’s site, the dev team has a lot in the works for the year. As noted, there was a good bit on the to-do list for the game in 2023, and while they achieved a lot of it, some things didn’t get done. This year, the devs plan to approach things by offering more content to players.
This content includes things like new instances, raids, the 17th-anniversary event, a 4th profession, and festivals. Players can also look forward to class updates, an Elf avatar refresh, and monster play updates.
The first quarter will conclude all content related to the Corsairs of Umbar. It will also bring two 3-player instances, a six-player instance, and a 12-player raid. After that, the 17th-anniversary event will kick off in the spring. The full rundown can be found on the Lord of the Rings Online site.
