Sources Say Redfall Will Release In Early May If Development Has No Hiccups; Aims To Have "Premium" Early Access
An insider reported the game was delayed from a tentative release date in March.
According to sources, players vying for a chance to battle against a legion of vampires in Redfall's fictional island town in Massachusetts may be able to in early May. Those sources also stated Redfall will reportedly have an early access period days before launch for those who purchase a "premium edition."
Nothing has been confirmed so far by Arkane Studios, Bethesda Softworks, or Microsoft. However, insider Okami Games posted on Twitter that internally the dev team pushed the game back six weeks from a tentative March release, now targeting an early May launch.
Update on Redfall's release date.
Have heard that it's been pushed back internally by about 6 weeks. Currently targeting an early May release.
Unfortunate news but I'm sure it's for the best. https://t.co/JuytC5KxWw pic.twitter.com/PIsBaH24y3

Windows Central corroborated those claims and backed them up with their own sources, mentioning that "if things go to plan," Redfall will be available in early May on both Xbox Series X|S and PC (Steam, Microsoft Store, and Xbox Game Pass). The report also revealed a "premium edition" will reportedly be available for purchase that grants an early access period to Redfall - similar to Forza Horizon 5's early access.
Each of these claims hinges on whether or not the dev team can hit their project timeline and encounter no hiccups in early 2023. That does mean the early access period may or may not happen if things turn sour. As for the game's official release, Bethesda is aiming to launch Redfall within the first half of 2023.
