Smite Gains Gilgamesh And Monstercat Battlepass, Loses Servers In Southeast Asia And Latin America
Well, the folks over at Titan Forge Games have apparently been pretty busy lately. Last week they dropped the King of Uruk update in Smite featuring the new Babylonian god Gilgamesh. At the same time they also added new content to Talons of Tyranny, teased a new mode coming later in the year, and made a variety of fixes and changes to the game.
At the same time, they also announced server changes that will impact players in Latin America and Southeast Asia. In response to reports regarding queue timer rollovers as well as players having problems finding matches because of low server populations in these regions, Titan Forge has decided to do away with servers specific to those regions and move players to servers with higher player populations. SEA players will now be part of the Japanese server while Latin America North players will be joining North America East. Players in both regions are encouraged to select other servers if they have problems with lag and similar issues.
As if that's not enough going on, today, Smite revealed the Monstercat Battle Pass via a post on Twitter. The battle pass features four Monstercat-themed skins: Slushii Hades, Sullivan King Gilgamesh, Koven Chang'e, and (my favorite) Crab Rave Khepri.
