Skyforge Unveils Eskenian Peninsula

Open beta should be just around the corner for My.com and Obsidian Entertainment's MMORPG Skyforge. As the free to play title nears that "soft launch" point, expect to see more and more reveals like today's bit of news. Today, Skyforge takes us on a tour of the Eskenian Peninsula zone.

Eskenian Peninsula suffers from a bit of a forgotten past. Having erected a temple to protect the area from demonic invasions and charged descendants with protecting the surrounding lands and the temple itself, things seemed safe in this beautiful tourist driven zone. In time, many forgot why the temple was even built and fell away from the duties assigned to them. Fast forward to current times and the inhabitants of Eskenian Peninsula are paying the price for forgetting their past.

Expect to see Demons and Phytonides flooding the area now as the seals around the temple have failed and what was once trapped is now free to roam the land again.

Lore hounds can check out the full backstory here.

My.com Game Client transformed my System into a russian Bot. It gave me high I/O on my HDD, even while Skyforge wasn't running.

So unmount.

This game is a such a bore. Pretty to look at but not one bit challenging. Echo Of Soul is more entertaining. This game is like Vindictus in a different theme and worse npcs to fight. At least Vindictus had more challenging and interesting boss's. I'd rather wait for Phantasy Star Online to come out and hear about the announcement of it not coming out and I would still wait then play Skyforge. I'd rather study a whole book about mathematics then play Skyforge and I don't even like math! Wheres the vote for love it, hate it, meh? Cause I have my vote its going to be hate it.

We are being watched. The government has a secret system — a machine — that spies on you every hour of every day. I designed a machine to detect acts of terror, but it sees everything. Violent crimes involving ordinary people. The government considers these people irrelevant. We don’t. Hunted by the authorities, we work in secret. You'll never find us. But victim or perpetrator, if your number’s up, we’ll find you.
