Sky: Children Of The Light Developer Looking To Break Guinness World Record At Gamescom
The developer hopes to break the record for “Most Users in a Concert-Themed Virtual World”
Sky: Children of the Light developer thatgamecompany announced today that they will be attempting to set a new Guinness World Record for “Most Users in a Concert-Themed Virtual World”. The attempt will be made during Gamescom on August 25 at 3 pm CEST and will last for 45 minutes. During this time Sky: Children of the Light players can take part in the event by logging into the game via their platform of choice.
In the game, players will gather in the game’s Valley of Triumph’s Coliseum to take part in an in-game concert featuring AURORA. The devs hope to have more than 10,000 players in the game during that time.
Anyone can join in this event, provided they have Sky. When the time for the event comes, players will need to head to the Coliseum or speak with the AURORA guide in Home in order to teleport there. A full guide will be made available on thatgamecompany’s YouTube channel. Those who can’t attend can still watch the event via thatgamecompany’s Twitch channel.
